Arc Raiders throws dynamic map events at you constantly. Understanding them separates players who extract legendary loot from those respawning empty-handed.

Here's everything you need to know.

What Are Map Events in Arc Raiders?

Events rotate on a real-time UTC schedule. Before you deploy, check your deployment screen to see what's active right now on each map. This single habit transforms your farming from random to intentional.

      Events fall into two categories:

Global conditions (Night Raid, Electromagnetic Storm, Lush Blooms) that change the entire map's visibility, loot value, ARC density, and extraction points.

Specific events (Harvester, Prospecting Probes, Hidden Bunker) that spawn in fixed zones with their own mechanics and rewards.

Most players ignore this and just queue. Most players also extract with garbage loot. Coincidence? No.

The Events You Actually Care About

      Harvester: Legendary Weapon Vault

      Harvester: Legendary Weapon Vault

What it is: A massive structure with three entry points, guarded by heavy ARC units including a Queen variant. Inside: weapon blueprints (Jupiter, Equalizer, Aphelion tier), massive salvage, energy clips. Periodic fire hazards force evacuation cycles.

Why run it: Straight up the best farm for legendary weapon blueprints. Nothing else compares.

Quick tip: Don't solo unless you're significantly overgeared. Bring heavy ammo, explosives, and a full squad if you want to kill the Queen. You can breach, loot, and bail without her if you're running light. Either way, commit when fire cycles start hesitating at the door, and you get clipped.

      Prospecting Probes: Tech Component Farm

What it is: Crash sites and courier routes scatter ARC tech components across the map. Probes drop in waves over time. Standard patrols guard them, escalating with heat.

Why run it: Motion Cores and Circuitry are exactly what you need for Workshop upgrades and Expedition Projects.

Quick tip: Build light. Primary rifle, sidearm, moderate armor. Rotate between crash sites and listen for shuttle audio to time your next drop. If squads converge, grab the core loot and rotate before third parties stack.

      Uncovered Caches: Speed Run Loot

      Uncovered Caches: Speed Run Loot

What it is: Storms exposed buried Raider containers across the map. Each cache has a timer that explodes if left exposed too long.

Why run it: Safe mid-tier loot without mandatory boss fights. Perfect for solo grinding when you just want to pad your stash.

Quick tip: This is a race. Strip down to essentials, hit 2-3 caches, extract. Don't linger after opening one the explosion draws every squad nearby. Trust the audio cues to locate caches before you visually spot them.

      Husk Graveyard: Low-Stress Salvage

      Husk Graveyard: Low-Stress Salvage

What it is: Dead ARC machines scattered across the map. Some marked as Electrified First Wave variants give premium salvage parts.

Why run it: Raw salvage and crafting materials without the combat intensity. Perfect for warming up or when you want a chill farming session.

Quick tip: Avoid loud weapons. Watch the skyline for smoke; other squads salvaging husks mean fights are incoming. Hit peripheral husks first, avoid hotspots. Great for pairing with Trials that don't demand kills.

Launch Tower Loot (Spaceport): Vertical PvP Arena

Launch Tower Loot (Spaceport): Vertical PvP Arena

What it is: Find two Fuel Cells, slot one into a generator, and ride ziplines up the tower. Trigger waves of ARC drones at the top (Wasps, Hornets, Bombardiers). High-tier loot waits for whoever clears the waves.

Why run it: Weapon crates and elite gear are concentrated at one location. Natural PvP hotspot if you're into squad vs squad fights.

Quick tip: Bring plenty of ammo. Listen for zipline audio, you'll hear enemy squads riding before they crest the railing. Have one player looting while others overwatch the entrance. Don't let one player haul the Fuel Cell solo; they'll get focused by both ARC and other raiders.

      Lush Blooms: Food Buff Farming

      Lush Blooms: Food Buff Farming

What it is: Weather softens, plant life spikes. Food baskets spawn across routes with lemons, olives, agave, and mushrooms. Regular plants spawn more densely.

Why run it: Food ingredients for high-tier buff recipes and Scrappy upgrades. Calm map conditions have plenty of Return Points and normal ARC density.

Quick tip: Bring big backpacks. If usual farm spots are crowded, hunt tucked-away baskets in alleys and on rooftops. Encumbrance is your only real enemy here.

      Night Raid: High-Risk, High-Reward Darkness

      Night Raid: High-Risk, High-Reward Darkness

What it is: The entire map goes dark. Raider Hatches disappear, Return Points drop, but loot value spikes significantly. ARC presence increases safe daytime routes, which now host elite patrols.

Why run it: High-rarity loot everywhere, not just in event zones. Limited extraction points force squads through the same corridors, creating intense PvP moments.

Quick tip: Build for low-light engagements. Clean reticles, controlled lighting gadgets. Manage your stamina; sprinting blindly into unknown areas ends in close-range collisions. Use tracer fire from other squads to locate hot zones. Stack Night Raid with Harvester or Husk Graveyard for massive hauls.

      Electromagnetic Storm: Environmental Warfare

      Electromagnetic Storm: Environmental Warfare

What it is: Lightning strikes actively damage anything caught inside. Reduced Return Points, no Raider Hatches, plus ARC AI that gets disrupted during impacts. Constant skyline pulses with electrical flashes.

Why run it: Dense combat, strong loot, and environmental damage you can weaponize. Push enemies toward active strike zones instead of forcing neutral duels.

Quick tip: Stay near the hard cover during strikes. Open-field crossings should happen just after a chain of strikes in that area. Coordinate squad positioning so one player covers while others reposition between safe zones.

Hidden Bunker (Spaceport): Scavenger Hunt + Vault

Hidden Bunker (Spaceport): Scavenger Hunt + Vault

What it is: Find and activate four antennas scattered across Spaceport. Once all four activate, the bunker door opens, revealing multiple high-tier loot crates.

Why run it: Less punishing than Harvester but more rewarding than basic salvage runs. Good blend of movement and combat intensity.

Quick tip: Split into pairs so you tag antennas faster. Expect other squads to rotate toward the bunker as the last antenna finishes. Don't stall at the entrance, clear, grab data and loot, leave before heat stacks and Swarms arrive.

Locked Gate (Blue Gate): Card Hunt in Urban Terrain

Locked Gate (Blue Gate): Card Hunt in Urban Terrain

What it is: Four key cards scattered across Blue Gate in exposed plazas, checkpoints, and offices. Once collected, return to the gate, input codes, and hold the area to loot.

Why run it: Strong loot and natural PvP in tight urban spaces. Each code location is an ambush opportunity.

Quick tip: Don't stack all codes on one player. Use vertical angles (scaffolding, balconies) instead of standing at the console. Treat this as a PvP-heavy zone build for close-to-mid range gunfights.

      Matriarch: Roaming Boss Legendary Farm

      Matriarch: Roaming Boss Legendary Farm

What it is: A roaming boss that moves across the map on patrol routes. Serious legendary grind schedules prioritize Matriarch hours the same way they do Harvester.

Why run it: Legendary weapon blueprints (Aphelion tier) and critical reactor parts.

Quick tip: Check if Harvester or Matriarch is active before queuing. If either is up, that's your priority over everything else. Roaming nature makes it unpredictable track its position, intercept before other squads, bring healing, and heavy ammo.

      Planning Your Grind

Before you deploy, ask yourself three questions:

      1. What do I actually need right now? (Legendary blueprints? Salvage? Specific Trials completed?)

      2. What event is active that matches that goal?

      3. Do I have the right loadout for it?

Legendary hunts → Harvester or Matriarch first

      Tech grinding → Prospecting Probes

Kill Trials → Night Raid or Electromagnetic Storm (dense combat)

Chill sessions → Husk Graveyard or Uncovered Caches

      Food buffs → Lush Blooms

Blueprint variety → Hidden Bunker or Locked Gate

Respect difficulty spikes. Harvester and Matriarch demand squad play. Solo queue should lean on the softer events unless you specifically want the challenge.

      Sustaining Your Grind

Extended farming sessions demand sustained focus. Whether you're chasing legendaries across multiple raids or grinding Trials through back-to-back sessions, staying sharp matters.

      FAQs

      Q. How many map events can occur simultaneously in Arc Raiders?

Up to three different events can run at the same time, though this is rare. Most matches see 1-2 active events at any given moment.

      Q. Do map events scale with player count?

Event difficulty and loot quality remain consistent regardless of lobby size. However, more players naturally increase competition for event rewards.

      Q. Can you trigger map events manually?

Most events occur on timers or randomly. ARC Hives can be manually activated by interacting with the central terminal, but other events cannot be player-triggered.

      Q. What's the best event for solo players?

Resource Node Eruptions and Trader Convoys pose less combat risk for solo players. Supply Drops and Hives attract more PvP attention.

      Q. Do events continue during extraction phases?

Events stop spawning once the final extraction timer begins, but any active events continue until completion or timeout.
