As I opened the box to see this tub laying there in all its Crash Bandicoot glory, I grabbed my shaker in haste! Cut the seal carefully as to not damage the beautiful label and popped that bad boy open! Took a whiff of the powder to build excitement and oh it smelled so sweet! Reached in and dug the scooper out, tempting to lick the powder from my fingers, I scooped up a good serving of the light yellow powder and dumped it into my shaker cup. Threw in some ice and filled it to the suggested line and could barely contain myself as I shook the cup vigorously! The color was a vibrant golden hue. Finally, it was time… I popped the top on the winter white shaker cup and took a sip of the nostalgia nectar. It was as good as I’d hoped, even better! A sweet, citrusy mango caressed my mouth as a hint of apple slowly developed after. It was as I imagined a Wumpa Fruit would taste! As if I were Crash themself and were collecting Wumpa Fruit to take home and juice into this amazing concoction. But also provided was a sustained energy that it enveloped me with. Enough to continue my gaming through the night and into the wee hours of the morning. To the point where I look up at the window, seeing daylight peeking in from outside, and remember “oh, I’m an adult now, I should probably get SOME sleep…” - Gone are the lackadaisical days of sitting around in front of the TV, gaming the night away. But this, the taste, the artwork on the label, it brings it back, if only for a short while.

I could have sworn I had reviewed this flavor a long time ago, but I would be doing a major disservice to GFUEL if I did not praise this flavor. Wumpa Fruit is a fun-little collab that manages to be as tasty as it is lore-accurate; you get an apple dominant flavor with a pretty strong mango beneath it.

I'm glad I did wait to properly review this flavor because I don't think I could really give this flavor a fair shake until I tried Mango Lemonade. Honestly, those two flavors are neck-and-neck as far as a mango flavored drink that whichever one you think is better wouldn't be a disservice to the other. I think Wumpa Fruit manages to win between the two for my tastes because the apple flavor is so strong, and there aren't that many apple-flavor options you can find on GFUEL's website. (Yes, Sour Green Apple exists, but it's only a BOGO limited item.)

Needless to say, this flavor is legendary and it's not something I would ever get sick of. I would easily recommend this flavor to anyone and if I ever decide to get a GFUEL can, I know what flavor I want as my first choice.
