This flavor is sweet, but not overpowering, it’s a very mildly sweet fruit flavor. Blackberry and pear are more noticeable on the front end, and the softer vanilla flavor rounds it out on the back end. The aftertaste is mostly blackberry. Overall, super easy to drink and very tasty.

I got this on the BOGO sale with a tub of Juice Cannon (also really good!). I would definitely recommend this flavor, especially to any Siege fans!

I know this comment will sound odd because the flavor-profile is different, but I swear this flavor combination is the best grape flavor I've ever had. It gets so close to a grape creamsicle taste in water that it almost works in milk, but that one is closer to a blackberry creamsicle. It's not as good as Summit1G in milk , but it is really close to the real deal.

However, let's back up a second to answer the two most important questions: What is Black Ice and how does it compare to Doodleberry/Black on Blackberry? Black Ice is to Doodleberry what Blue Bomber Slushie is to Blue Ice; it's simply a better version of the same flavor-profile with added vanilla. The difference between the first two isn't as striking as the latter two, but if you found BoB/Doodleberry a little bland tasting then you should definitely give this one a chance. Both flavors to me are very solid, but I think Black Ice is just slightly better as a daily-option because the blackberry, pear and vanilla combination works splendidly.

Now, the pear aspect is harder to judge as this tub is very strong on the blackberry and vanilla notes; the pear is somewhere between those two extremes and the only way I even notice it is the kind of "pear-like" aftertaste you get after biting into the fruit. The powder definitely tastes much stronger on pear; once mixed, however, it kind of fades into the background. So if you want a pure pear flavor you won't find it here.
