CWL Champs 2019 Day 4 Results

The Call of Duty World League Championship is being held this weekend at Pauley Pavillion on the UCLA campus in order to crown the Black Ops 4 CWL Champs.

With a $2 million prize pool, five championship rings, and a stamp in the record books on the line, every single player put their all into this event.

Call of Duty esports is turning a new page next year with a franchising model that is similar to the Overwatch League. Professional players are looking to make sure their stock is high heading into a new era of Call of Duty by making big plays.

The third day of the event kicked off the double-elimination bracket where more teams would begin to fall. In one of the most heart-wrenching matches of the day, 100 Thieves were able to come back and reverse sweep the G FUEL-sponsored FaZe Clan to end their 2019 Call of Duty season. 

In a head-to-head losers bracket match between two G FUEL-sponsored teams with Elevate and Team Heretics, it was the Red Rebellion who walked away to continue their championship run with a 3-2 victory.

Day 4 began with eUnited facing off against Evil Geniuses in a battle of rivals. In the beginning of the year, there was beef between Clay “Clayster” Eubanks and Jordan “Jkap” Kaplan as a roster move bubbled onto social media.

The crowd roared in celebration as Clayster waved his fellow rival goodbye as eUnited sent Evil Geniuses down to the loser’s bracket.

Elevate was looking to continue their championship run as a potential dark horse as they were matched against Evil Geniuses. Unfortunately for the international team, Elevate was swiftly swept up by EG’s momentum and were handed a devastating 3-0 loss to end their season.

The Red Rebellion would end their tournament with a 9th-12th placement and $35,000 alongside Sicario Gaming, Team Singularity, and Team WaR. 

The next two teams to be sent packing were Evil Geniuses and Luminosity during the third round of the loser’s bracket. Both teams were given a 7th-8th placement and $50,000 to end their Black Ops 4 season. 

OpTic Gaming, 100 Thieves, Reciprocity, eUnited, Enigma6, and Units all made it through to Championship Sunday. Out of 32 teams, only six remain. Who will be crowned the 2019 Call of Duty World League Champions?
