Forza Horizon 5 has 14 standard Barn Finds plus one bonus 15th car (the Vocho VW Beetle from the early-game Vocho story mission), which is why the loading screen shows "15/14 collected" once everything is restored. Each Barn Find unlocks a hidden classic car that cannot be bought from any in-game dealership, ranging from the 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO to the rare 1991 Jaguar Sport XJR-15.

Barn Finds appear on the map only after a Barn Find Rumor triggers, which happens through Horizon Adventure progression and specific Expeditions. The full list below covers every car, location, and unlock requirement.

What are Barn Finds in Forza Horizon 5?

Barn finds are hidden cars stored in derelict barns around the FH5 Mexico map. Each one contains a free legendary or rare classic car that restores over time after discovery. Once restored, the car appears in your garage like any other vehicle. Barn Finds have been a staple of the Forza Horizon series since the 2012 original.

How do you unlock Barn Finds in Forza Horizon 5?

Barn Finds appear on the map only after their Barn Find Rumor triggers. Most rumors unlock through Horizon Adventure progression: completing chapters, winning races, and earning Accolade Points. A few have specific unlock conditions documented below.

When a rumor activates, a large purple circle appears on the map. Drive into the circle and look for a white barn with yellow doors. The fastest way to spot it is Drone Mode, available under the Creative tab in the pause menu. Players can also purchase the in-game Treasure Map to reveal all locations instantly. Our guide on staying focused during long gaming sessions covers why decision-making slips during marathon Forza runs.

A 40-serving Energy Formula tub keeps focus sharp during the long exploration sessions, hunting these down takes. Here are all 14 standard Barn Finds plus the bonus Vocho.

      1967 Ford Racing Escort RS1600 MK1

Location: La Gran Caldera, near the volcano in the northwest. Climb from the western side and look for a hillside barn near the second-to-last turn before the top. Locked behind the Baja Expedition.

      1973 Porsche 911 Carrera 2.7 RS

Location: Northwest of Colinas Aridas, near the road heading up La Gran Caldera on the eastern side of the volcano. Look for a bright red house nearby.

      1956 Ford F-100

Location: Tierra Próspera, in a large field northeast of the highway intersection south of El Estadio Horizon. The barn sits inside a road loop south of the label.

      1970 GMC Jimmy

Location: Cascadas de Agua Azul, along the river rapids in the south. The barn sits near the Atlantes de Tula ruins. Locked behind the Apex Expedition.

      1991 Jaguar Sport XJR-15

Location: La Selva region, just north of Aerodromo en la Selva in the far southwest, next to an abandoned airfield. Locked behind the Wilds Expedition.

      1973 BMW 2002 Turbo

Location: Northwest of Guanajuato, at the base of a hill just off a major mountainside road. Take the dirt road up the hillside on the northwest side of the city.

      1999 Dodge Viper GTS ACR

Location: Gran Pantano region in the southeast, in a barn within a forest north of the Ek' Balam ruins.

      1993 Toyota #1 T100 Baja Truck

Location: De Otro Mundo in the southwest, near the two crop circles. The barn sits on the edge of the right-hand circle, just below the De Otro Mundo sign.

      1962 Ferrari 250 GTO

Location: Northeast corner of the map near Los Jardines, at the end of a narrow dirt trail northeast of a roundabout. The rumor for this one only triggers after you complete the final race in the Horizon Adventure campaign, making it typically the last Barn Find unlocked.

      1953 Chevrolet Corvette

Location: Center of the map, southeast of Tierra Próspera and just below the main highway. Cross the dirt road over a small river and head east to find the barn track.

1968 Dodge Dart Hemi Super Stock

Location: Southern half of the map, just south of Teotihuacan. The dirt track sits beneath the "can" of the Teotihuacan label.

      1989 Ferrari F40 Competizione

Location: Just west of Tulum in the southeast corner of Mexico, near the coast. (Note: this is the F40 Competizione, the track-only racing variant, not the standard F40, which is a separate car in the game.)

1968 Ford Mustang GT 2+2 Fastback

Location: Northeast of Guanajuato, along the main road heading north toward the hillside.

      1968 Renault 4L Export

Location: Baja California region. The Renault 4L requires purchasing the La Cabaña house in the northwest corner of the map before the rumor unlocks. Some guides also note completing the Baja Expedition as a prerequisite worth knocking out first if the rumor doesn't trigger after the house purchase.

      Bonus: 1963 Volkswagen Beetle (Vocho)

Location: The Vocho is unlocked through the Vocho Horizon Story, one of the first story missions you're directed to early in the game. The chain centers on helping Alejandra track down the original Vocho. Complete the full mission chain to unlock the car. The Vocho counts as the bonus 15th car on the loading screen tracker.

How to restore Barn Find cars

Restoration takes real-time after discovery (typically a few hours of in-game time). Once a car is fully repaired, an in-game notification confirms it, and the vehicle becomes available to collect from any of your owned houses. Open the menu's Garage tab, find the Barn Finds page, and any restored car will show a "ready to collect" icon. Restoration is free.

      Fuel the Hunt

Tracking down all 15 Barn Finds takes hours of exploration, drone scanning, and back-road driving. A scoop of a clean energy formula keeps focus steady through the long search circles where most time is spent. The right gaming gear setup helps players who chase 100% completion. Keep a classic flavor on the desk and rotate in a new arrival when the grind starts to feel like a job.

      Frequently asked questions

      Q. How many Barn Finds are there in Forza Horizon 5?

Forza Horizon 5 has 14 standard Barn Finds plus 1 bonus car (the Vocho VW Beetle from the Vocho story missions). The loading screen shows "15/14 collected" once all are restored.

      Q. How do you unlock Barn Finds in Forza Horizon 5?

Barn Finds unlock through Barn Find Rumors triggered by Horizon Adventure progression and Accolade Points. Some require specific Expeditions (Baja, Apex, Wilds) or property purchases (La Cabaña house for the Renault 4L).

      Q. What is the rarest Barn Find in Forza Horizon 5?

The 1991 Jaguar Sport XJR-15 is one of the rarest because only 53 were ever produced in real life. The 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO is also extremely valuable, with real-world auction prices among the highest in automotive history.

      Q. Can you skip Barn Find rumors and find the cars directly?

No. Barn Finds will not appear on the map until their rumor is triggered, even if you drive to the location. The Treasure Map purchase reveals locations on the map but still requires the rumor unlock.

      Q. How long does it take to restore a Barn Find car?

Restoration takes a few hours of in-game time after discovery. The car becomes available to collect from any of your houses once a notification confirms it's ready.

      Q. Do Barn Finds have to be unlocked in a specific order?

The order of regular Barn Find Rumors is largely random for the 10 standard rumors. The four with specific conditions (Jaguar XJR-15, GMC Jimmy, Ford Escort MK1, Renault 4L Export) require completing specific Expeditions or buying La Cabaña.
