Attendees who are at Gamescom 2019 can see Sony’s first public event of the year since they notably skipped E3 2019. Sony’s main games that are showcased are Death Stranding and The Last of Us: Part 2.

Before the event began, fans were welcomed to an announcement that Insomniac Games, the company behind the wildly successful Marvel’s Spider-Man, has been acquired by Sony.

Nintendo will also be present at the show and will offer content for attendees and fans at home. From August 20th to August 22nd, Nintendo will be showing off trailers and extended gameplay for several games including Luigi’s Mansion 3, The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening, and Dragon Quest 10 S: Echoes of an Elusive Age.

Smash fans can also attend or watch the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Gamescom 2019 Invitational on August 22nd on Nintendo UK's YouTube channel channel. This will allow qualified players the chance to get a paid trip to Japan for the Ultimate World Challenge Cup in October.

Microsoft has the biggest presence at Gamescom 2019 with over 200 individual Xbox One stations with game demos where fans can be the first to try out Gear 5’s Horde Mode.

Attendees can join Microsoft’s free Open Doors attraction where people can check out community events, game tournaments, exclusive panels, and purchase Gamescom x Microsoft swag.

We’ll keep you up to date with all the major announcements, trailers, and gameplay videos coming out of Germany from Gamescom 2019. So be sure to keep coming back to our blog for updates!
