The Document Forgery Office is one of five Motorcycle Club businesses in GTA Online, introduced in the Bikers update. It produces fake passports, driver's licenses, and counterfeit documents. All Document Forgery Office Locations and Prices
There are four locations to choose from. All four have identical interiors and produce the same product at the same rate. The only difference is price and map position. All three sources (GTA Wiki, gtaboss, Turtle Beach) confirm the same locations and prices:
- Grapeseed: $650,000. The cheapest option. Located in Blaine County near the Alamo Sea area. gtaboss recommends this location if your other MC businesses are in the Grand Senora Desert/Alamo Sea area.
- Paleto Bay: $732,000. The most remote location in northern Blaine County.
- Elysian Island: $975,000. Located in the southern industrial docks of Los Santos.
- Textile City: $1,235,000. The most expensive option is located in central Los Santos. Turtle Beach recommends this location for proximity to other Los Santos-based MC businesses.
The best location depends on where your other businesses are. Both sources agree that keeping all MC businesses in proximity to each other is the most important factor, since you will want to complete sell missions in sequence without driving across the entire map.
How to Set Up the Document Forgery Office

You need to be an MC Clubhouse president to purchase any MC business. Once purchased, you must complete a setup mission: drive to a marked location, collect a duffel bag of supplies, and bring it back to your office. All three sources confirm this process. The GTA Wiki notes that the business is managed through the Open Road laptop inside the office.
Document Forgery Office Upgrades
Three upgrades are available for the laptop in your office. Upgrade prices are confirmed by both gtaboss and Turtle Beach:
- Equipment Upgrade -- $550,000. Speeds up production, increases product value, and makes supplies last longer. This is the most impactful upgrade.
- Staff Upgrade -- $195,000. Speeds up production and increases product value. Combined with Equipment, this is what makes the business functional.
- Security Upgrade -- $285,000. Reduces the chance of raids or police attacks. Does not affect productivity or profit. Both gtaboss and Turtle Beach consider this optional.
Both sources strongly recommend purchasing Equipment and Staff upgrades as soon as possible. The Security upgrade is a quality-of-life convenience rather than a profit driver.
Document Forgery Office Max Payout
The payout depends on your upgrades, whether you sell locally or remotely, and whether you buy or steal supplies. Both gtaboss and Turtle Beach provide identical payout tables:
No upgrades: $1,000 per unit, 5 minutes per unit, 60 unit capacity. Sell local: $60,000. Sell remote: $90,000. Profit per hour: $16,000.
Equipment + Staff upgrades: $1,400 per unit, 3 minutes per unit, 60 unit capacity. Sell local: $84,000. Sell remote: $126,000. Profit per hour: $38,500.
All three upgrades: Same as Equipment + Staff ($126,000 remote, $38,500/hr). The Security upgrade does not affect earnings.
With both production upgrades, it takes approximately 3 hours for the business to reach full stock. Turtle Beach notes that supplies cost $15,000 per unit (up to $75,000 max). However, both Gtaboss and Turtle Beach advise stealing supplies rather than buying them for this business, since the profit margins are too thin to absorb supply costs.
Solo players: gtaboss recommends selling before reaching full stock, as a full stock generates multiple delivery vehicles that are difficult to manage alone within the time limit.

Both gtaboss and Turtle Beach calculate the total setup cost at the Textile City location with all upgrades as $1,980,000 ($1,235,000 + $550,000 + $195,000). At the maximum profit rate, both sources agree it takes approximately 47 hours of active play to break even.
For comparison, the Cocaine Lockup and Methamphetamine Lab offer significantly faster returns on investment. gtaboss recommends purchasing MC businesses in this order: Cocaine Lockup first, then Methamphetamine Lab, then Counterfeit Cash Factory.
Is the Document Forgery Office Worth It?
Both gtaboss and Turtle Beach agree: no. The Document Forgery Office is the least profitable MC business in GTA Online. It produces less income per hour than every other MC business and has the longest break-even time.
The one exception is if you own a Nightclub. gtaboss confirms that you can assign a Nightclub Technician to the Document Forgery Office, generating Forged Documents as one of your Nightclub's passive product lines. This makes the business worth owning purely as a Nightclub feed, even if you never run sell missions from the office itself. You can also manage it through the Master Control Terminal in the Arcade.
Troubleshooting: Business Not Producing?
Both gtaboss and Turtle Beach cite the same official Rockstar Support guidance. If your Document Forgery Office stops producing, verify that the setup mission is complete, supplies are available, a Nightclub Technician is assigned (if running through Nightclub), and you are registered as MC President in a session. Product levels should increase after 30-50 minutes if conditions are met. If production still stalls, shut down the business, play in a public session for 30+ minutes, then reopen it.
