1. Kansas City Chiefs: 84 Overall Rating

Kansas City Chiefs Offense Rating: 88

This Super Bowl 54-winning team has one of the best QBs to use in Madden 20: Patrick Mahomes. With his 99 OVR rating, he throws out-of-this-world passes.

Not only does Kansas City have one of the best QBs in the league, but they also have some weapons running their receiving routes. Leading the way for the Chiefs is TE Travis Kelce. The 96 OVR big man is widely considered to be one of the best TEs in the league and is also viewed as one of the go-to options for Mahomes. Pairing alongside Kelce is 96 OVR WR Tyreek Hill who also has a 99 speed rating and is a consistent threat to blow by his defender. The Chiefs offense has always been viewed as one of the best in the league, and using them in Madden 20 is no exception.

Kansas City Chiefs Defense Rating: 78

Kanas City does not have one of the best defenses, but they have shown improvements this season compared to their abysmal performance last season. Last NFL season, the Chiefs were known to be the team that would get into high-scoring matches with other teams. This was a constant battle as their defense could not hold on to any lead that Mahomes and his offense got for them.

This year has been a steady improvement for the Chiefs’ defensive unit, led by 92 OVR SS Tyrann Mathieu before he was sidelined due to another season-ending injury. San Francisco 49ers Offense Rating: 80

Although the 49ers lost to the Kansas City Chiefs in this year’s Super Bowl 54, they are still one of the best teams to use in Madden 20. The most notable offensive player the 49ers have is without a doubt 97 OVR TE George Kittle. He is always a threat in the pocket and can catch any pass, good or bad. 89 OVR WR Emmanuel Sanders is also another offensive threat the 49ers have. He’s one of the fastest wide receivers in the game. The 49ers offense is led by 84 OVR QB Jimmy Garoppolo, the once backup to legendary QB Tom Brady who had a breakout season in his first true year as starting QB. Although his performance in the Super Bowl was questionable, he displayed top-notch QB talents throughout the year and will look to make an impact next season as well.

San Francisco 49ers Defense Rating: 82

Touted for their superb defense all year, the 49ers feature some of the brightest players in the game. For example, 94 OVR CB Richard Sherman has been one of the staple cornerbacks in the league for almost a decade. And 89 OVR RE Nick Bosa is widely considered one of the brightest young talents in the game. Lining up with this defense is for sure going to keep your opponents guessing as you stop them possession after possession.

3. Baltimore Ravens: 81 Overall Rating

Next on our list is perhaps the biggest surprise of the 2019 NFL season: the Baltimore Ravens. Coming into this year, not many people knew what to expect of the Ravens. With 92 OVR QB Lamar Jackson at the helm now, no one knew if he could be a viable starting QB for the future and if he would have an impact right away. Well, Jackson proved critics wrong with his stellar play throughout the season so far. In the lead for MVP for many analysts and fans, Lamar Jackson has sustainable options on the wings with 80 OVR WR Marquise Brown and 78 OVR WR Willie Snead IV. With Jackson leading the Ravens to a potential first seed in their conference, many will look to use Jackson in Madden 20 to see if they can replicate his magnificent throws.

Time will tell if Lamar Jackson can keep up his remarkable performance throughout the rest of the NFL season and beyond. But as his on-the-field dominance continues, so does his Madden 20 rating. He jumped three overall points from 90 OVR in week 14 to 93 OVR in week 17, for example.

The Cowboys had an up-and-down season. Their loss to the New York Jets on October 13th was the nail in the coffin for many Cowboys fans, but the Cowboys have improved since then.
