6 Most Creative Cosplays from BlizzCon 2019
Cosplay is one of the most celebrated acts of performance arts in the world where participants celebrate their favorite characters, video games, movies, television shows, and more. BlizzCon 2019 took place at the Anaheim Convention Center in California and is considered one of the most popular places to participate in cosplay ranging from casual looks to professionally created costumes. Fans from over 50 countries have gathered at BlizzCon 2019, and that means there were tons of cosplay outfits to admire.
Here are our favorite creative cosplays from BlizzCon 2019!
1. Worgen Genn Greymane
In the World of Warcraft universe, there are wolf-like creatures who are disguised as humans. Worgens can be compared to a traditional werewolf, and can certainly be terrifying. Genn Greymane might be the most royal Worgen in the Alliance, and this cosplay certainly does him justice.
2. Female Barbarian from Diablo
Diablo was first released in 1996 and is considered one of the first dungeon crawlers to become successful and pave the way for the genre. Barbarians in the Diablo universe are considered as strong as stone and an unstoppable force. This female barbarian comes equipped with a deadly ax, chest armor, and an intimidating headpiece.
3. Lucio from Overwatch
One of the most popular support heroes in Overwatch, Lucio, has a handheld Sonic Amplifier that helps him boost his teammates while defending against the enemy team. Thanks to his mechanical legs, he can run on walls and easily slip out of a fight. This cosplayer created a replica Sonic Amplifier and even built a pair of legs to truly bring the outfit to life.
4. Reaper and Mercy from Overwatch
Donning a full-body suit and a custom handheld shotgun, this Reaper cosplay may make you question your next move. He even has a few shotgun shells strapped to his chest. Just in case, Mercy is next to him to make sure he has all the support he needs.
5. Female Barbarian and Skeleton King from Diablo
BlizzCon 2019 was not short on barbarians, with this costume featuring horned shoulder pieces, knee guards, and a menacing one-handed ax. Next to her is the infamous Skeleton King wearing the crown that players fight for in Diablo 3.
6. Mercy and Ashe from Overwatch
There are currently 31 playable heroes in Overwatch, allowing players to have several options regardless if they like to hang back and play support or enjoy storming the front lines. Mercy is considered one of the main healer characters in Overwatch since she was one of the original 21 heroes. Ashe, the leader of the Deadlock Gang, has one of the deadliest weapons on the planet, The Viper, which can be seen wielding in the cosplayer’s right hand. Both of these ladies made sure to pay attention to detail, and we definitely noticed!
