G FUEL's BLAST Pro Series Los Angeles 2019 Recap

G FUEL's BLAST Pro Series Los Angeles 2019 Recap

If you attended BLAST Pro Series Los Angeles this past weekend, you probably noticed that G FUEL was there. We were so excited to be there since we had so much going on!

Not only is FaZe Clan one of our sponsored teams, but we were able to mingle with fans, interview players, give out free samples, and take a lot of pictures of everyone enjoying another huge moment for esports.

For those of you that want to know more about what BLAST Pro Series is, we'll enlighten you fairly quickly. Held on Saturday, July 13th and Sunday, July 14th, BLAST Pro Series took the top six teams in the CS:GO world and pitted them against each other in a different set up than most tournaments.

Three teams at a time play best of one match. The top two teams with the most points after a full day of matches goes on to the finals for a best of three. It’s a fast-paced way to being crowned the best. These six teams competed to win their share of the $250,000 prize pool with the winners walking away with $125,000.

Great Start To A Great Weekend

Our Saturday started with trying to get some feelers out there from fans to see who they thought would bring home the gold this weekend. There is so much competition coming from all of these teams. They are currently the best in the league.

Team Liquid seemed to be the general favorite, but there were plenty of fans there for FaZe Clan, Cloud 9, and NRG. That’s not to say Renegades and MIBR didn’t have their fans cheering for them either.

We were out there giving away free samples of so many of our favorites, and fans from all over were enjoying the day. There were even some fans out here that were mixing flavors to come up with their own great-tasting concoctions.

While our new G FUEL cans were a big hit, we were all here celebrating video games and how far esports has really come. Watching FaZe Clan, Team Liquid, Cloud 9, and the rest were the reason we were out here on an amazing summer day in LA.

One of the coolest things we had going that people couldn’t stop watching was our artist, Paulene Aguirre, who painted our new cans in a size we wish we could offer. She did a great job, and everyone loved her work. Thank you, Paulene!

FaZe Clan Meet And Greet

G FUEL FaZe Clan meet and greet at BLAST Pro Series Los Angeles 2019

There’s something special when fans get to meet their favorite players in esports, all while they get pictures and jerseys autographed. G FUEL was proud to see all the smiling faces both from players and fans as they were able to bring them together.

FaZe Clan was there spreading smiles to their adoring public. The guys were gracious enough to sit down to answer a few questions as well. They went into everything from some of their favorite guns, what it’s like to have YNk as their new captain, and, of course, we had to ask them about what their favorite flavor of G FUEL was!

Take a look at what they had to say:

Having Olof "olofmeister" Kajbjer Gustafsson and the gang take the little bit of resting time they had to hang with us and the fans, sign autographs, and answer our questions was a pure delight. Such a wonderful group of players.

New G FUEL FaZeberry Can Taste Testing

We were able to show off one of G FUEL’s newest products to everyone that was at BLAST Pro Series with our brand new FaZeberry can. Now one of your favorite tastes doesn’t need to be shaken up first. We’re being honest here, you don’t need to shake it up. It’s carbonated and sugar-free.

This ready-to-drink (RTD) version in the new 16-ounce cans was a big hit with people, and they're now available to buy at gfuel.com! Available in four flavors: FaZeberry®, Blue Ice, Sour Cherry, and Rainbow Sherbet, G FUEL’s RTD energy drink provides the enhanced energy, extreme focus, and improved reaction time you’d expect from G FUEL.

fl0m Stopped By To Hang Out

Fans also had the pleasure of meeting one of the best CS:GO athletes in the world. While he might not play anymore, former CS:GO pro Erik “fl0m” Flom stopped by the G FUEL booth to hang out with fans and even play some Counter-Strike with them.

He also had a lot to say about the event and the unveiling of our new RTD cans:

Fl0m was so much fun to have around. He is such a bright and cheery personality! He really seemed to have a lot of fun with fans. While he apologized for wrecking kids at the game they love to watch and play, he still put a smile on everyone’s face.

Thanks again fl0m for hanging out with us. You are welcome back anytime!

Hope You All Had Fun!

We want to say thank you all so much for all the fans that stopped by the booth to taste test, buy merch, see your favorite esports stars, and pick up your favorite G FUEL flavors and drinks.
