Three teams — Astralis, Team Liquid, and G FUEL-sponsored FaZe Clan — have already booked three of the four spots in the BLAST Pro Series Global Finals. BLAST Pro Series 2019 Standings
Team Liquid currently sits atop the BPS standings for 2019 with 26 points. The North American squad has finished first or second in all three BPS events they’ve attended this year.
Closely behind TL in second place is Astralis. The Danish stack has had some up and down showings at the BLAST Pro Series this season, winning Sao Paulo and finishing second in Madrid but falling out in the group stage in Miami.
The third squad to have already booked a trip to the Global Finals is FaZe Clan with 20 points. FaZe has made it to the finals in each of their past two BPS appearances, defeating Team Liquid in Miami and falling short to the same TL team in Los Angeles.
Standings
- 1. Team Liquid - 26 points
- 2. Astralis – 22 points
- 3. FaZe Clan – 20 points
- 4. NiP – 16 points
- 5. MIBR – 12 points
- 6. Cloud9 – 6 points
- 7. NAVI – 6 points
Prize Pool
The six aforementioned teams will be competing to win their share of the $250,000 prize pool (with first place claiming $125,000), the BLAST Pro Series trophy, and BPS points to try and book their place in the BLAST Global Final Bahrain held on December 13, 2019.
Team Liquid, Astralis, and FaZe Clan have already secured their place in the Global Finals with just one spot remaining for the rest of the competing teams.
NiP has a high likelihood of claiming the final spot at the Global Finals. With MiBR not playing in Copenhagen, NiP has a 10-point lead over the next closest team in the standings, Cloud9. As long as NiP doesn’t finish last, and either Cloud9 or NAVI wins the event, the Swedes will be the fourth team in Bahrain.
Prizes
The $250,000 prize pool is spread among the teams as follows:
Place | Prize | BPS Points |
1st | $125,000 | 10 points |
2nd | $50,000 | 8 points |
3rd | $25,000 | 6 points |
4th | $15,000 | 4 points |
5th | $10,000 | 2 points |
6th | $5,000 | 0 points |
FaZe Clan At BLAST Pro Series Copenhagen 2019
Though FaZe Clan has already booked their trip to the Global Finals, the squad will be looking to continue to build their chemistry. Marcelo “coldzera” David and Helvijs "broky" Saukants have only been with FaZe for a month entering Copenhagen, and the team is still meshing together.
Results have been trending upwards for FaZe Clan, with the team finishing 3rd-4th in their most recent outing. Coldzera, Nikola "NiKo" Kovač, and Olof "olofmeister" Kajbjer Gustafsson have all been playing well in the short period of time this new lineup has been together. With some added frags from broky or Håvard "rain" Nygaard, FaZe could easily find themselves in another BLAST Pro Series Finals.
