Road To The World Cup Episode 2: E11- Ready To Take On The World
40 million Fortnite players attempted to qualify for the record-breaking $30 million Fortnite World Cup Finals in New York, but only under 200 athletes were able to qualify.
E11, a newly-developed organization based out of Toronto, met up for a boot camp at G FUEL HQ in New York City to begin training for the life-changing tournament.
The organization is backed by a professional hockey player for the Toronto Maple Leafs, Zack Hyman.
E11’s professional Fortnite team consists of:1. Stompy
While the players spent almost two weeks at G FUEL HQ, itemm’s mother flew all the way from Scotland to support her son.
“I have the best, supportive parents in the world. I have a twin sister and a brother who all understand how much this means to me. Especially my dad. When I wasn’t with E11, my dad was my coach,” said itemmFN, professional Fortnite player for E11.
While some of the players felt they were primed and ready, Stompy, unfortunately, fell victim to a rash that covered the majority of his body.
Would this test be too much for him to handle?
Will the pressure of the Fortnite World Cup be too much for him?
We explore all that and more in our second episode of our Road To The World Cup series, “E11 - Ready To Take On The World”:
Stay tuned for the next episode of The Road To The World Cup where G FUEL takes an inside look into training for the Fortnite World Cup with one of esport’s most notorious organizations to ever touch the industry --- FaZe Clan.
